Inspiração de estilo - Victorian Kitty

Victorian Kitty é uma designer gráfica, webdesigner, amante de felinos (os gatos dela, o Perseus e o Prometheus são tão lindos!) e mora na Califórnia. Com mais de 30 anos (a idade dela não nos diz respeito hehehe), blogueira do Sophistique Noir, Kitty propõe que a moda gótica não precisa ficar de lado na vida de quem trabalha em ambientes mais sóbrios (e neste caso são beeeeem sóbrios mesmo) ou quem tem mais de 20 aninhos.
Victorian Kitty is a graphic designer, web designer, cat lover (her cats, Perseus and Prometheus are so beautiful!) and lives in California. With over 30 years (her age does not concern us hehehe), blogger of the blog Sophistique Noir, Kitty proposes that the gothic fashion don´t need stand by in the lives of those who work in more sober environments (and in this case are soooo much sober) or who has more than 20 little years.

Quando fui escrever este post, pedi a Victorian Kitty permissão, porque muitas pessoas não gostam que compartilhe fotos e informações sem pedir. Então lá fui eu:
When I was writing this post, I asked the Victorian Kitty permission because many people don´t  like to share photos and information without asking. So here we go:

Não é novidade para quem acessa este blog que eu AMO o blog da Kitty e acesso todo santo dia. Se ela não posta algo novo, não perco a viagem: acesso posts antigos para me inspirar. O S.N. foi o primeiro blog da cena dark de fora do Brasil que realmente me identifiquei. E não foi apenas pelo gosto pelo preto e pelo gótico.

Unsurprisingly for anyone who accesses this blog that I LOVE the Kitty´s blog and every single day I access. If she doesn´t put something new, I don´t waste the trip: access old posts to inspire me. The S.N. was the first blog of the dark scene in out of Brazil that I really identified me. And it was not just the taste for black and the Gothic.

A primeira vez que acessei o blog dela foi quando procurava roupas góticas para pessoas que trabalham em ambientes formais. Eu encontrei o This is CorpGoth, e através dele cheguei ao da Kitty. Caí de amores! Inspiração no glamour de Hollywood dos anos 40, na cena gótica mais tradicional dos anos 80, e claramente pitadas de estilo vitoriano e eduardiano. Tudo com muito estilo!

The first time that I accessed her blog was when looking Gothic clothes for people working in formal settings. I found “This is CorpGoth”, and through him I got to Kitty. I fell in love! Inspired by the Hollywood glamour of the 40s, in the more traditional gothic scene of the 80s, and clearly bits of Victorian and Edwardian. All with much style!

A Kitty trabalha em um ambiente corporativo, e isso reflete nas roupas de trabalho, óbvio. Mas ela também tem roupas para sair nos fins de semana e para situações noturnas, e estas também me agradam. Mas teria sido apenas mais um dos blogs que acessaria ocasionalmente se não fosse um detalhe...

Kitty works in a corporate environment, and this reflects in work clothes, of course. But she also has clothes to go out on weekends and night situations, and these also pleased me. But it would be just another of the blogs that would access occasionally if not for one detail ...

Estava eu fuçando o blog quando minha mãe chegou e viu o que eu estava fazendo. Normalmente, ela gosta de ver o que aprecio em moda, porque eu sempre li muitas revistas e livros sobre história das vestimentas e aprendi algumas coisas. Eis que ela me acompanha na leitura de um dos posts e diz "Eu usaria isso. Achei a roupa dela muito bela e correta para uma advogada (mama é advogada)." Eu tive de dizer que a Kitty não era advogada, e era gótica. Aí veio a melhor parte: minha mãe se vira para mim e fala "ah gótica ela é realmente, eu percebi. Ela demonstra. Você também fazia esta dupla preto + cor, não lembra?".

I was fidgeting her blog when my mother came and saw what I was doing. She usually likes to see what I appreciate in fashion because I always read many magazines and books on the history of clothing and learned a few things. Here she accompanies me in the reading of the posts and says "I would use it. I found it very beautiful clothes and proper for a lawyer (mother is a lawyer)." I had to say that Kitty was not a lawyer, and was Gothic. Then came the best part: my mother turns to me and says "Gothic ah she is really, I realized It demonstrates You also did this black + color double, do you not remember?".

Kitty misturando preto com cinza, com branco, com rosa, e com azul. O look comentado pela minha mama foi o primeiro outfit. Por coincidência, tenho um colar preto muitíssimo parecido com o que ela está usando na primeira foto!

Ou seja, sem querer me enaltecer, mas já esquecendo a modéstia, minha mãe viu em nós uma familiaridade. Inicialmente, cheguei a achar que Kitty não era gótica, porque muitos dos trajes que eu uso são parecidos com alguns que ela usou, e nunca tinham me definido como uma amante do dark ao usá-los. Foi aí que percebi que é o oposto: gostamos do estilo gótico, mas para nós ele é algo tão pessoal, que a mim causou a impressão de ser um traje comum, enquanto que, para quem não é gótico, ele é sim bem dark.

In other words, not wanting me praise, but already forgetting modesty, my mother saw in us a familiarity. Initially, I came to find that Kitty was not Gothic, because many of the costumes that I use are similar to some that she used, and never had defined me as a dark lover to use them. It was then that I realized that is the opposite: like the Gothic style, but for us it is something so personal, that caused me the impression of being a common costume, while for non gothic, it is rather dark well.

Não digo que tudo que a Kitty usa eu também usaria. Mas muitas das roupas dela me arrancam suspiros. As saias lápis e sereia eu suspiro de admiração, mas não consegui usar até hoje (quadris largos exigem estratégias). As camisas usaria todas, menos as cor de rosa (não gosto de rosa, só o tom de cereja e com cautela). Adoro ver os sapatos lindos dela, mas não posso usar salto. Percebam que não é porque não posso ou não gosto que não me inspiro. 

I do not say all that I would also use Kitty uses. But many of her clothes dragged me sighs. The pencil skirts and mermaid I sigh of admiration, but I could not use to this day (wide hips require strategies). The shirts would use all but the pink (not pink like, just the cherry tone and with caution). I love seeing the beautiful her shoes, but I can not wear heels. Realize that it is not because I can not or do not like that do not inspire me.

No geral, o que levo como inspiração para trabalho: caimento das roupas valorizando curvas, o duo preto + cor (que já fazia, mas muito simples), uso de meias com texturas (uma idéia fabulosa que preciso trabalhar), saias lápis ou retas com blusas de toque vitoriano, uso de boleros para velar excessos, toques góticos em acessórios, com cruzes e outros (mas sem usar caveiras no trabalho!) e uso de acessórios delicados, como flores e lenços. E claro, maquiagem escolhida a dedo!

Overall, I take as inspiration for work: trim the clothes valuing curves, black + color duo (who already did, but very simple), using socks with textures (a fabulous idea that I have to work), pencil skirts or straight with Victorian touch sweaters, boleros use to ensure excesses, Gothic touches in accessories, with crosses and other (but without using skulls at work!) and use of delicate accessories such as flowers and scarves. Of course, makeup chosen carefully!

Look classic with pencil skirt and Victorian-inspired shirt; 3 colors on the look; brooch on the lapel and scarf in the same look; bolero protecting the shoulders; scarf and necklace in the same outfit.

Magenta, flor e lenço (um ar meio espanhol?); saia longa de renda e bolero; sapatos vintage e lenço de bolinhas; um vestido camisa com pingente de cruz e meias arrastão cor de pele; botas vitorianas, detalhes românticos e luvas!

Para a noite e fins de semana, aí a liberdade aflora e vejo os looks que mais me deixam de joelhos. Corsets, casquetes, luvas, vinil, botas de salto alto, e muitas outras ideias sensacionais. O legal também é que muitos dos trajes que ela usa nos fins de semana eu usaria para trabalhar...talvez porque ser professora te permite um pouquinho mais de liberdade...não sei bem dizer.

For the night and weekends, there arises the freedom and see the looks more leave me to my knees. Corsets, copings, gloves, vinyl, high-heeled boots, and many other sensational ideas. The cool thing is also that many of the outfits she wears on the weekends I would use to work ... maybe because being a teacher allows you a little more freedom ... I do not know say.

Underbust roxo lindo, estas meias trançadas que estou a caça, um traje gótico industrial, short e gótico combinando sim!

Gorgeous purple underbust, these socks twisted that I'm hunting, an industrial gothic costume, shortand gothic combining!

 

Sombrinha para se proteger com charme, um traje com calça skinny, toques vitorianos num look sexy, vestido básico e detalhes nos tornozelos, e esta saia de veludo que me faz chorar de amores! Dos 5 acima, 3 looks usaria no trabalho: os dois vestidos (1o e 4o) e o look com calça. Só colocaria um "tapa decote" para velar um pouco o meu busto que é bem grande. 

Umbrella to protect with charm, a suit with skinny pants, Victorian touches in sexy look, basic dress and details on the ankles, and this velvet skirt that makes me cry of love! Of the 5 above 3 looks would use at work: the two dresses (1 and 4) and the look with pants. Just put a "slap neckline" to ensure a bit my bust is quite large.

Eu comecei este blog por causa do Sophistique Noir. Eu percebi que aqui no Brasil não tinha blogs abordando moda alternativa dark em ambientes corporativos e formais. Em ambientes descontraídos você procurando acha... Mas em empresas, escolas e cia é beeeem mais difícil. Pensei "será que dou conta?" e assim vou tentando fazer algo parecido na proposta da Kitty.

I started this blog because of Sophistique Noir. I realized that here in Brazil had no alternative blogs covering dark fashion in corporate and formal settings. In relaxed environments you think ... But looking at companies, schools and co is so more difficult. I thought "that will give account?" and so I trying to do something similar in the Kitty proposal.

Bom, espero algum dia poder inspirar uma outra blogueira a fazer algo em seu blog, baseado no que eu postei no meu. Quem sabe né?

Well, I hope some day I can inspire another blogger to do something on your blog, based on what I posted mine. Who knows right?
